Jerry has worked in the areas of design, film, photography, music and television since 1976.
He's been awarded nearly 200 national or international design awards and has been published in over 20 books and periodicals. In addition, his independent film and video work has earned him numerous international awards.
Jerry Musser has taught film theory at the university level in The Netherlands, and graphic design in the U.S. He has been invited to judge numerous design and media competitions here and abroad. In his early career, he was employed as a news cameraman in Boston, Massachusetts and Hartford, Connecticutt.
As an independent visual consultant, he has worked on projects for such companies and institutions as MTV, National Geographic Society, The Hermitage Museum, Microsoft, Polaroid, Herman Miller Furniture, US Sprint, IBM, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Pennsylvania State University, Apple Computer, Bucknell University, and CBS Records.
In 1987, Jerry was inducted into the prestigious New York Type Directors Club, and has been a long-standing member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts since 1985 until resigning in 2009.
Jerry King Musser was born in the small, Pennsylvania, coal-mining town of Defiance, Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Temple University. |
